This chapter, including the zoning district maps made a part hereof, by reference may be known and cited as the zoning ordinance of the city of Auburn.
(1) The location boundaries of the zones and districts created by the zoning ordinance for the City of Auburn, Kansas are hereby established as defined and shown on the map entitled “Zoning District Map” and signed by the mayor and city clerk and hereinafter referred to as the “Zoning Map.”
(2) The Zoning Map above referred to and all notations thereon are hereby incorporated by reference and made a part of the zoning ordinance.
(3) The Zoning Map shall be marked “Official copy as Incorporated by the Code of the City of Auburn, Kansas” and filed in the office of the city clerk to be open to inspection and available to the public at all reasonable hours.
The jurisdiction of this chapter shall apply to all land located within the corporate limits of the City of Auburn, Kansas.
In interpretation and application, the provisions of this ordinance shall be held to be the minimum requirements adopted for the promotion of the public health, safety and welfare. Where this ordinance imposes a greater restriction upon land, buildings, or structures than is imposed or required by existing provisions of law, ordinance, contract or deed, the provisions of this ordinance shall control.
